Just two miles from Israel’s border with Gaza, Kibbutz Magen was one of the first communities to be attacked on October 7th. But because of the bravery of the town’s security team—and IDF troops that arrived the next day—many lives were saved from the terrorists.

One of these brave security officers is Yossi, who truly is one of Israel’s Faces of Iron.

When Hamas overran the area, Yossi jumped into action, heading out to the road and taking the fight to the terrorists.

“When I saw the first body, I knew something serious was happening,” Yossi says, “so I stopped by the side of the road…”

Luckily, Yossi was wearing a flak jacket provided by Fellowship supporters, because of what came next.

“From the trees, out came eight terrorists, running at me and shooting.”

Yossi was sure his life was over. Outgunned and outnumbered, he took cover in some bushes, sure that he’d been hit.

“Terrorists have shot me!” Yossi screamed into his cellphone, a message he played later for The Fellowship…

…a message that was only possible because of the support of friends like you.

Because while Yossi had been hit by a terrorist bullet, the flak jacket he had received from The Fellowship miraculously stopped the bullet, saving Yossi’s life—and in turn allowing him to return to the fight to save more lives of innocent Israelis.

As Yossi thanks you for providing the support and strength that not only saved him, but so many others, he explains, “You must understand, every vest that you give, saves a life. Without a vest, you die.”

Yes, thanks to you, the people of Israel know they can stand strong in this ongoing fight for God’s people and the land He promised them.
