Is The Fellowship approved by the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance?
Yes. The IRS recognizes IFCJ as a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization. We voluntarily submit to a thorough examination by the Better Business Bureau’s Wise Giving Alliance.
In the Spring of 2004, IFCJ (The Fellowship) was one of the first not-for-profits entitled to display the BBB Charity Seal, showing full compliance with their Standards of Charitable Accountability.
It is these standards that encourage fair and honest solicitation practices as well as promote ethical conduct by charitable organizations. Since IFCJ has earned and displays the BBB Charity Seal, you have assurance knowing that we are firmly committed to financial accountability and fiscal transparency.

Does The Fellowship meet the standards of the Evangelical Council of Financial Accountability?
IFCJ takes immense pride in maintaining the highest ethical standards possible for financial accountability. We do our best to follow the Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship dictated by the ECFA.
However, because we work in both the Jewish and Christian communities, we are not able to ascribe to the ECFA Doctrinal Statement since it is a Christian-only statement of faith. Nevertheless, we still voluntarily comply with all other standards of the ECFA.
Who leads The Fellowship?
After the passing of our founder, Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, the organization looks ahead to the future under the leadership of those who learned directly from and worked with Rabbi Eckstein. His years of devotion to The Fellowship’s work in supporting Israel has immensely helped build bridges between Christians and Jews.
Current President and CEO of IFCJ, Yael Eckstein, oversees our ministry programs and also serves as an international spokesperson. As Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein’s daughter, Yael has served as the following:
- Global Executive Vice President
- Senior Vice President
- Director of Program Development & Ministry Outreach

Yes. Your donation is 100% tax-deductible and further strengthens our mission. In approximately two weeks after receiving your gift of donation, you will receive a tax-deductible gift receipt.
Can I give a gift to The Fellowship in honor/memory of a loved one?
Yes. You can honor a loved one by giving online or we can send a brochure explaining how you can give an honor/memory gift to IFCJ as a meaningful tribute to a friend or loved one.
You can also give your gift online or over the phone. All you need to do is provide us with the information so we can send the acknowledgment.
Does The Fellowship and Yael Eckstein support the right of Christians to share their faith?
IFCJ is an interfaith organization. Our mission is to provide humanitarian aid to the needy in Israel and build bridges between Christians and Jews.
We respect the beliefs of both Christians and Jews, and we do not promote nor favor one faith over the other. Although Rabbi Eckstein was an Orthodox Jew, he and his daughter, Yael Eckstein, have supported the rights of Christians to share their faith convictions with others honestly, provided this sharing is done in a spirit of mutual respect.
Can I make an anonymous donation to any of The Fellowship’s programs?

How much of my gift goes to administrative costs?
Wise stewardship of your sacrificial donation is IFCJ’s top priority, and we take it very seriously. We are proud to report that 73 cents of every dollar raised last year went directly to our ministry programs. This amount exceeded the standards of the Better Business Bureau as well as other top charity guidelines.
We are grateful for your trust and generosity that allow us to bring compassionate care to God’s people.
Can I give my gift to a specific person?
Unfortunately, no. Our projects are carried out by partners who identify those in the greatest need at the time funding is received. That is why it isn’t possible to set aside a gift for a particular person. Your gifts will benefit those people most in need.
Do you have a catalog of products from Israel?
Yes. IFCJ has an online catalog of products from Israel. You can order online or by calling (800) 486-8844.
Do I help Israel by purchasing your catalog products?
Yes. Products that display a small Israeli flag in the catalog are purchased directly from Israel and Israeli merchants.
Any profit realized by catalog sales of all products is directed back into Fellowship programs.
How long will it take to receive my order?
It typically takes us 48 hours to process the order. After that, it takes about 7-10 business days for you to receive your order. We ship orders by UPS. If you want your order shipped to a P.O. Box, we will send it via the US Postal Service.
If your headquarters are in Chicago, why do you have a post office box in Washington, DC?
Although our offices are in Chicago, we have found that it is more economical and secure to use an outside company to process our contribution mail. The company we use for this service is closer to Washington than Chicago, so contributions sent to this post office box (P.O. Box 96105, Washington, DC, 20090-6105) are put to work helping needy people faster.
Can I link my website to The Fellowship‘s website?
We at IFCJ are so honored that so many of our friends want to link to our website. However, we do not have adequate staff to fully review each inquiry. Therefore, we cannot fully endorse any sites that have links placed on their site to ours.
