Faces of Iron: Keith
Stand for Israel | June 4, 2024
“This is the only reason I’m alive.”
That’s what Keith says, pointing to a bullet-riddled security truck—the fortified vehicle provided by The Fellowship that proved to be the difference between life and death on October 7, 2023.
That morning, as hundreds of rockets began to fall on southern Israel and Hamas terrorists began to infiltrate the border with Gaza, attacking and murdering innocent Israelis, Keith didn’t run for safety. No, the brave security chief for the Eshkol region—just east of Gaza—jumped into his trusty Toyota and drove toward danger.
The truck, an armored vehicle provided by The Fellowship during earlier violence in the area, did its job.
“I heard the bullets hitting,” Keith tells us. Two heavily armed groups of terrorists began peppering the truck with fire from assault rifles.
The terrorists kept firing, but the truck’s armor kept Keith safe. Because of the strength and safety provided him by Fellowship friends around the world, this Israeli hero was able to fight off terrorists that horrible day, and save many lives. Yes, because of the support of friends like you, innocent lives were saved. “To everyone that is helping The Fellowship,” says Keith, “I just want to say thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.”
