In response to the growing crisis in Iran and the possibility of U.S. intervention, The Fellowship’s teams in Israel have launched a rapid response to continue meeting urgent needs while providing additional protection. These measures include deploying mobile bomb shelters, preparing for a transition to emergency hospital care, and distributing food and first aid essentials. Fellowship teams have remained in close contact with local authorities in Israel, as well as security and rescue forces, and are ready if conditions escalate.
In addition to 13 mobile bomb shelters, The Fellowship helped secure five “Arbel” shelters—each equipped with a steel door capable of withstanding a ballistic missile strike. Built using lessons learned from October 7 and the 12-day war with Iran, these shelters provide critical protection for communities without safe zones. The Fellowship has also purchased and deployed dozens of additional shelters in accordance with Home Front Command guidelines.
The Fellowship helped establish an underground hospital floor beneath Rambam Medical Center, allowing patients to be moved safely and smoothly during an emergency. We also provided 300 beds to the Galilee Medical Center, along with a mobile X-ray machine. Teams are prepared to transition rapidly from standard hospital operations to emergency care.
Hundreds of first aid kits have been distributed to local authorities. These kits include essential supplies for first-response rescues and recoveries. The Fellowship also provided 1,000 bulletproof vests and helmets to United Hatzalah, Israel’s largest volunteer rescue organization, and additional equipment has been provided for The Fellowship’s Forward Command Vehicle.
Lastly, a reserve of approximately 1,500 food purchase cards has been approved for distribution to families forced to evacuate their homes due to missile attacks.
With each step taken to prepare for a dire scenario, we also pray for shalom—peace. The Fellowship can respond immediately thanks to the generosity of our supporters. Together, we pray for the safety of the people of Israel, for the people of Iran to succeed in their pursuit of freedom, and that further escalation is avoided.
“Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it” (Psalm 34:14).
