After two long and painful years, we are finally seeing a glimmer of hope that peace may once again be within reach, thanks to the steadfast leadership of President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu. As we watch these historic efforts unfold, our hearts and prayers are with the families of the hostages. I’m reminded of the vision of Ezekiel, dry bones coming back to life, as I imagine the hostages walking over Israel’s border to unite with their families for the first time in two years. May God grant their safe and speedy return, and may this moment mark the beginning of a lasting framework for peace and security in the Holy Land.
The Fellowship was founded to bring Christians and Jews together – to stand shoulder to shoulder in faith, compassion and action. When Hamas attacked Israel two years ago, we immediately mobilized to care for those most vulnerable: the elderly, the sick, families torn from their homes, and the poor who had nowhere else to turn. Since the first day of the war, with God’s help and the generosity of our faithful Christian friends around the world, the Fellowship has provided over $300 million in emergency aid to those in desperate need.
I am deeply moved by the outpouring of love and solidarity from millions of Christians who stood with Israel in her darkest hours. Your prayers, your giving, and your hearts made a difference, and continue to be a light of hope.
This is when the healing actually begins. As we look toward a future of rebuilding and renewal, I believe that interfaith partnership will play a vital role in healing the wounds of war. Together, as Jews and Christians united in our faith and shared values, we will continue to help the people of Israel rebuild their lives and strengthen the bonds of peace that we all pray will endure.
With blessings from the Holy Land,
