Supporting the Rehab of Wounded IDF Soldiers
The Fellowship | October 16, 2024
“On October 7, 2023, I saw on the television the terrible images from the south. I could not remain indifferent to what was happening,” says Igor. “I immediately called my unit to enlist in the reserves.”
Igor was sent into combat in Gaza. Two grenade missiles were fired at his tank, and he was seriously injured along with his three other crew members.
“I don’t remember much … I was told that they flew me by helicopter to Soroka hospital in Be’er Sheva. I was in the Intensive Care Unit for five days in a life-threatening condition.” Now, he is in rehabilitation.
Thankfully, The Fellowship supported him with a hospitalization comfort kit and helped in his rehab. This means a lot to Igor, who also received help from The Fellowship while attending a Fellowship-supported Jewish school and orphanage in Ukraine as a child. “It’s amazing that The Fellowship has been with me since childhood,” he says.
