The United States and Israel launched coordinated strikes across Iran on the morning of February 28. Soon after, the Islamic Republic responded with missile launches at Israel and U.S. targets in the region. During this time, both Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and President Donald Trump addressed the nations on this new campaign.

Netanyahu said in his speech, “The goal of the operation is to put an end to the threat from the Ayatollah regime in Iran. At this hour, the IDF is striking targets of the oppressive regime, facilities of the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij, and together with the US military, ballistic missile sites that threaten both Israel and US forces.

“This operation will continue as long as necessary.

“For 47 years, the evil regime in Iran has called for death to Israel and death to America. It has trampled its own citizens, spread fear across the peoples of the region, and deployed a vast global terror network.

“It has invested enormous resources in developing nuclear bombs and tens of thousands of missiles intended, as it put it, to wipe Israel off the map. It has also armed terror proxies around us — in Gaza, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Yemen, and Judea and Samaria — and has shed our blood.”

Meanwhile, Trump said in his speech, “Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime, a vicious group of very hard, terrible people.

“Its menacing activities directly endanger the United States, our troops, our bases overseas, and our allies throughout the world.

“For 47 years, the Iranian regime has chanted ‘Death to America’ and waged an unending campaign of bloodshed and mass murder targeting the United States, our troops, and the innocent people in many, many countries.”

As events unfold today, The Fellowship is active on the ground in Israel making sure food is distributed, medical centers are operating, and people are safe in their shelters. This could not be possible without our generous donors who join us in prayer for the people of Israel, and for the brave U.S. and Israeli military putting their lives on the line to counter the Iranian threat.
