The United States, in coordination with Israel, launched preemptive strikes against Iran this morning, targeting Islamic Republic military infrastructure and missile sites. The Jerusalem Post reports that after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Operation Epic Fury had begun in Iran, more than 125 missiles were fired into Israel from the Islamic Republic. Sirens sounded across northern and central Israel as 35 missiles entered Israeli airspace; the others were intercepted.
The IDF shifted to hunting missile launchers and missiles across Iran, aiming to degrade IRGC capabilities to strike Israel’s home front.
“When we are finished, take over your government, it will be yours to take,” Trump told the Iranian people in a pre-recorded message.
“Our objective is to defend the American people by eliminating imminent threats from the Iranian regime,” Trump added. “Iran can never have a nuclear weapon.”
Northern Israel and the Golan Heights were hit throughout Saturday, with sirens sounding repeatedly. Magen David Adom (MDA) teams were dispatched to attack sites to treat injuries and assist those moving to shelters. A military source said that some missiles may have been launched from Lebanon, though the IDF has not confirmed this. MDA also reported that a 20-story building in Tirat Hacarmel was struck when missile shrapnel hit the 17th floor. One person was injured and is receiving medical care. No deaths have been reported.
Both Trump and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the military operations are intended to create conditions that could remove Supreme Leader Khamenei from power and protect the people of Iran, who have been speaking out against their government over the past two months.
The Fellowship, along with our partners and donors, has helped Israel prepare for this moment. Every effort has been made — and will continue to be made — to protect Israel and her people as they return to their bomb shelters. Food and security measures are in place to ensure that anyone who is displaced will receive support.
We ask that you pray for safety and protection for the people of Israel, and for the Israeli and U.S. soldiers who are putting their lives on the line to secure freedom and end the Iranian threat once and for all. We thank our donors for their generosity toward God’s people during this time and pray for peace — shalom.
