Paramedics were quickly on the scene providing critical medical treatment to a severely wounded person from a direct rocket hit from Lebanon. But their rescue efforts failed, and the person died from their wounds, reports The Jerusalem Post:

An individual about 30 years old was killed from rocket shrapnel in northern Israel on Tuesday following a rocket attack in the area, Israel’s emergency medical service Magen David Adom (MDA) said…

“Immediately following the red alerts, we received a report of a casualty and headed to the scene. This was a difficult scene; we arrived on the scene and found a 30-year-old male with shrapnel wounds to his upper body. He was unconscious, and we immediately began medical treatment and resuscitation, following which we had to pronounce him dead.”
