The ceasefire in Gaza continues to be tested as the IDF confirmed more instances of Hamas terrorists attempting to cross the established Yellow Line. The Times of Israel reports that there were two separate incidents today of terrorists attempting to do so –the first occurring by the Strip, while the other in northern Gaza. Two Hamas operatives were eliminated after being seen planting suspicious objects in the ground near the troops’ location.

The Israeli Air Force then struck one of the operatives, and the others withdrew from the area back over the Yellow Line, according to the IDF.

In a separate event in northern Gaza, a terror operative was identified crossing the Yellow Line and approaching troops, the military says.

The forces opened fire and “eliminated the terrorist to remove the threat,” the IDF says.

The IDF says it remains deployed in Gaza “in accordance with the ceasefire agreement and will continue to operate to remove any immediate threat.

This is not the first time Hamas operatives have tested the Yellow Line, with three terrorists being taken out attempting to cross it this past week. While the ceasefire saw IDF forces withdrawing from Hamas-controlled areas to allow for the freeing of hostages, they still maintain a presence in certain parts of Gaza. The Israeli government believes Hamas’ testing of the ceasefire and slowing of hostage releases are attempts to slow the transition to disarmament.

With three hostages remaining in Gaza, The Fellowship and our supporters pray that the ceasefire holds for just a bit longer –and ultimately paves the way for shalom, peace, after over two years of war against terror.
