IDF Adds Troops to Ground Operation Against Hezbollah
Stand for Israel | October 2, 2024
As the IDF brings more troops in defense of Israel against Hezbollah, the terrorist group’s rockets are raining down on Israel, reports JNS:
The Israel Defense Forces announced on Wednesday that another division, the 36th, was joining its ground operation against Hezbollah in Lebanon, as the Iranian terror proxy continued to launch rocket barrages across the border.
According to the IDF, some 100 rockets were fired at northern Israel during the morning hours, which followed Tuesday night’s second-ever direct attack on Israel by Iran.
One soldier, Captain Eitan Itzhak Oster, has lost his life defending the country in the Lebanon ground operation—making him the first in this operation to lose his life:
Captain Oster, 22 years old and from Modi’in, was a squad commander in the Egoz Unit. He is the first fallen soldier to be announced since the start of Israel’s invasion of Lebanon on Monday.
Several Israeli MKs reposted a video Oster recorded earlier this week, in which he can be heard saying, “There is no one prouder than me to lead fighters in the hope of completing our missions.”
Additionally, seven more soldiers were killed by Hezbollah terrorists during the ground operation.
May the soldiers’ memories be a blessing. And please pray for all the heroes defending Israel at this critical time in the war. It’s their bravery and their sacrifice that protects the Jewish homeland, the only democracy in the Middle East.
