The Fellowship cares for Israel’s soldiers. We support lone and needy soldiers by providing emergency funds for basic personal or household needs (furniture and appliances) for soldiers and their families in Israel. We also provide food assistance for the Jewish holidays, like Passover and Rosh Hashanah.

Recently, we received this appreciation letter from the IDF (Israel Defense Forces) Northern Command headquarters for your Rosh Hashanah help this year:

Hi, our names are Shahak, Ofir, and Noya.

We would like to share a story about how your donations have helped our soldiers.

We care for a female soldier whose father lives with a disability and has a low financial income. She receives financial support from the army but not enough to buy furniture for their dining room.

Thanks to you, her house is properly furnished with a dining area and the family can eat with dignity.

Like this female soldier, most of the soldiers we care for come from poor families. But you and your generous donations allow them to live with dignity and celebrate the holidays with no worries.

It is important for us to thank you personally for everything you do for the Northern Command in particular and in the army in general. We do not take this gift for granted: “True giving is the desire to help others without thinking about donation.”

Best regards,

IDF Northern Command
