Prayer Points

Prayer Points and the Fellowship Prayer Team unite Jews and Christians around the world to raise a chorus of prayer to God for the security, well-being, and protection of Israel and the Jewish people. By appealing to God on behalf of his children, the Prayer Team will make a powerful, positive impact on Israel’s struggle for peace and security, and provide a tremendous source of encouragement to Israel and her people.  Add your voice to the members of the Fellowship Prayer Team.

Prayer Points

“Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12).

Last week, Israel, the Jewish people, and the world paused to remember October 7, 2023. Memorial services were held in the Holy Land on October 4, while churches, synagogues, and thousands of other institutions around the globe joined Flags of Fellowship to mourn, pray, and stand in solidarity in what was a record-breaking turnout. More than a week later, photos from participants are still being received. The light of the silenced majority truly shone through the darkness of rising anti-Semitism!

  • This year, 4,375 churches and synagogues across 17 countries planted more than 5.2 million Israeli flags. The level of support and solidarity expressed by our Christian friends is truly unprecedented, three years after the horrific terror attacks. We praise God for their participation and join them in praying for the peace of Jerusalem.  “The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest’” (Exodus 33:14).

  • What was supposed to be a school field trip turned deadly in northern Israel near the Lebanese border when 14-year-old student Elazar Yair Wilensky was killed by an unexploded munition left behind by Hezbollah. Twenty-three of his fellow students and one of his teachers were also wounded. We pray for the Wilensky family during this difficult time and for the recovery of the injured students and teacher. We also praise God for the swift response and coordination of emergency services. “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1).

  • Israel made headlines for days following the attempted hijacking of Flydubai Flight 1073 by a copilot who intended to crash the aircraft in Tel Aviv. Despite being stabbed, the captain managed to open the cockpit door, allowing passengers, including off-duty pilots, to overpower the attacker and help bring the aircraft to a safe landing. We praise God for the heroism of the captain and passengers as we pray for the captain’s recovery. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand” (Isaiah 41:10).

  • The humanitarian crisis in Ukraine continues to intensify as attacks on critical infrastructure increase. Homes, workplaces, hospitals, schools, and transportation hubs have been struck, making it increasingly difficult for families and the elderly to access food, medical care, and warmth as winter approaches. As The Fellowship remains committed to ensuring that Jewish communities in Ukraine are not forgotten, we pray for shalom—peace. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future” (Jeremiah 29:11).

  • As we pray for our Christian friends around the world, we also remember those we help in the Holy Land and the surrounding region. This includes the people of Nazareth and villages in southern Lebanon, who, like the Jewish people, face threats of violence and terror because of their faith and identity. May our support bring them hope, comfort, and reassurance that they are not forgotten. “The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them” (Gensis 11:6).
