Why Christians Stand With Israel

For Christians, standing with Israel is more than an expression of support. It is rooted in Scripture — in God’s enduring love for His people and His promises to them.

01 / THE BIBLICAL CALL

A Biblical Call to Stand With God’s People

“Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: ‘May those who love you be secure’” (Psalm 122:6).

Throughout the Bible, we see God’s faithfulness to Israel. From His covenant with Abraham to His promise to watch over His people, Scripture reveals a God who remembers His promises and calls believers – both Jews and Christians – to lives of compassion and love.

Today, Israel and the Jewish people face profound challenges. Families are rebuilding lives shattered by terror and war. Elderly Holocaust survivors struggle with poverty and isolation. New immigrants arrive in Israel seeking safety and a new beginning. And Jewish communities around the world face an alarming rise in anti-Semitism.

For Christians who love Israel, these are opportunities to put biblical faith into action.

THE PLACE AND THE PEOPLE

Why Israel Matters

The land and people of Israel are woven throughout the biblical story.

It was to Abraham that God promised, “I will make you into a great nation, and I will bless you” (Genesis 12:2). It was through the prophets that God repeatedly affirmed His love and care for His people. And it was in Jerusalem that generations came to worship, pray, and seek God.

Thousands of years later, Israel remains the homeland of the Jewish people — a place where ancient biblical history and modern life meet every day.

But standing with Israel means more than caring about a place. It means caring about a  people. The Holocaust survivor struggling to afford food and medicine. The frightened family rushing to a bomb shelter when warning sirens sound. The new Jewish immigrant arriving in Israel hoping to build a safe and secure future in their biblical homeland.

Behind every headline is a person with a name, a family, a story, and a future.

Stories like Tamar’s.

Through the generosity of Christians who believe their faith calls them to act, The Fellowship provides lifesaving and life-sustaining assistance to vulnerable people in Israel and Jewish communities around the world.

Each act of compassion carries a powerful message:
You are seen. You are loved. You are not alone.

03 / FAITH IN ACTION

Why Christians Choose The Fellowship

Faith becomes especially powerful when it moves us to act.

“Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed” (Isaiah 1:17).

The Fellowship exists to build bridges between Christians and Jews, to break down walls of misunderstanding – to turn the compassion of Christians into meaningful help for Jewish people in need.

Working on the ground in Israel and in Jewish communities around the world, The Fellowship identifies urgent needs and responds with practical assistance — from basic necessities to emergency aid and security.

Your Compassion Reaches People Where They Need It Most

Support for The Fellowship helps provide:

01

Food and basic necessities

For elderly Israelis, Holocaust survivors, families, and others struggling to afford essentials. Last year, The Fellowship provided basic needs and support to more than 937,000 people.

02

Emergency aid

When terror and war threaten Israeli communities, The Fellowship provides critical assistance to families and communities in crisis. In the two years following October 7, 2023, The Fellowship committed $300 million in aid to Israel to support ongoing emergency needs.

03

Security for vulnerable communities

The Fellowship strengthens security for communities facing threats in Israel and around the world. Last year, The Fellowship provided security to 800,000 vulnerable people worldwide.

04

Support for Holocaust survivors and elderly people

Fellowship-supported assistance provides practical help, dignity, and the reassurance that vulnerable elderly Jewish people have not been forgotten. Last year, The Fellowship provided food, medicine, warm winter clothes, blankets, and other basic needs for 142,000 elderly Jews and Holocaust survivors in Israel and the former Soviet Union.

05

Help for new immigrants to Israel

The Fellowship supports aliyah (immigration to Israel) and provides assistance as new immigrants begin building lives in their biblical homeland. Last year, The Fellowship helped more than 6,000 Jews return to Israel.

Behind Every Gift Is a Story

Your support becomes part of their story

The impact of this work is measured in more than meals, emergency supplies, or financial assistance. It is measured in lives.

It is the elderly woman who opens her door to receive food — and discovers that someone cares whether she has enough to eat.

It is the family who has endured nights of sirens and uncertainty and receives help when they need it most.

Chaya, now 97, grew up in a loving Jewish home in Latvia, but World War II shattered the security of her childhood. Her family was forced to flee to Siberia, where they endured bitter cold, food shortages, and hostility that forced them to hide their Jewish identity. Her father was the only one of 13 siblings to survive the Holocaust. After the war, Chaya fulfilled her dream of making aliyah to Israel, where she could finally live out her faith freely and never have to again conceal that she is Jewish.

Now, decades later, Chaya has once again experienced war. With difficulty hearing, she cannot always hear the sirens warning of incoming attacks — bringing back the fear and helplessness she knew as a child. That’s why the care of Fellowship friends means so much. For the past 10 years, The Fellowship has provided Chaya with food, assistance, and the reassurance that she is not alone. “I know there is someone who always takes care of me,” Chaya says.

It is the Holocaust survivor who is shown kindness and dignity in the later years of life.
