Event Aims to Unite Millions of Christians in Standing with Israel and the Jewish People
CHICAGO, Ill. — The International Fellowship of Christians and Jews (The Fellowship) is proud to announce its participation in renowned faith leader, Lou Engle’s upcoming “A Million Women: An Esther Call to the Mall” event, set to take place on October 12, 2024, on the iconic National Mall in Washington, DC. The event aims to unite millions of Christians in standing with Israel and the Jewish people.
This powerful gathering, set purposely on Yom Kippur, or the Day of Atonement in the Jewish calendar, aims to unite Christians across America in prayer, fasting and sacrifice for the future of America, in the spirit of courage that Queen Esther displayed in the bible.
The Fellowship will share remarks as part of the 10-hour event, calling on Christians and Americans everywhere to connect with the Jewish roots of their faith, join the fight against rising antisemitism and continue to boldly stand, fast and pray for Israel and her people, as the nation marks the first anniversary of the ongoing conflict this week.
“There’s never been a more critical moment in Israel’s history, or a more powerful way to demonstrate that for the first time in 3,000 years, that the Jewish people have friends in the millions of Christians nationwide, and globally, as Israel continues to fight for its very existence,” said Robin Van Etten, Global Chief Operating Officer of The Fellowship. “We are thrilled to be part of this event with Lou Engle, and immensely grateful for his leadership in faith and for calling on all Esthers and Mordechais during this incredibly poignant event, to stand with Israel and the Jewish people at such a time as this.”
“We are living in a moment in this nation that will shape future generations. Through united prayer and fasting, I believe this gathering of women in Washington, D.C. will shift history and we will see America turn back to God and a nation restored,” said Engle.
In addition to remarks from The Fellowship, the event will feature inspiring speeches from Lou Engle and other top Christian leaders who will lead the crowd in prayer and a unified call for change in America, emphasizing the importance of collective action and the impact we can all make in shaping our nation’s destiny.
