Yael Eckstein delivers Passover food boxes to Holocaust survivors in Israel

Dear Friend,

In Exodus, God tells His people to remember when He delivered them from slavery. “This is a day you are to commemorate,” the Bible tells us, “for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD—a lasting ordinance” (12:14).

But for many Jews, following this is impossible. Forced to choose between buying medicine or eating a meager meal, from heating their homes or feeding their children, too many of God’s people cannot buy the special foods to celebrate Passover. Too many are without the very deliverance Passover celebrates.

One of these people is Sofia, an 87-year-old Holocaust survivor. Sofia’s family fled the Nazis in a cattle car and spent the war on the run, hungry and alone. And today, as a precious elderly Jewish woman living in Israel, Sofia is still alone, even on Passover.

A Season of Deliverance

But this Passover, YOU — as a faithful monthly donor — made it a season of celebration, a season of deliverance.

You helped The Fellowship bless 230,000 people, including more than 53,000 Jewish families who fulfilled God’s command to celebrate His deliverance.

You filled hungry stomachs with food and lonely lives with hope — and helped fulfill God’s biblical mandate.

“God smiled down”

I think Sofia said it best when asked what she thought of your help. “God smiled down and sent me angels.” Todah rabah — thank you — for your monthly support, for taking part in this holy ministry, and for being one of the angels who helps provide deliverance to God’s children.

With blessings from the Holy Land,
Yael
