Our President and Global CEO Yael Eckstein provides an update in Israel as the possibility of a U.S. strike on Iran increases, putting the Holy Land in the crosshairs of the Islamic Republic and how this time relates to the upcoming holiday of Purim:
Now something very similar took place last time Iran attacked Israel around 12 hours before. And so, the people here in Israel are bracing for a war. And everyone is asking me, “Is it scary? Are you nervous?” Definitely the feeling on the ground is, on one hand, I was just out shopping for Shabbat –everyone is out shopping for Shabbat. The streets are full of people celebrating Friday in Israel, it’s like Sunday in America. It’s our day off.
And so, people are sitting at coffee shops and laughing and enjoying. But also, everyone is preparing that within a few hours we could be in our bomb shelters under heavy attack. We could be under heavy attack from Iran, from Iraq, from Yemen, from Lebanon. Many different fronts that are all focused on attacking Israel.
