Our President and Global CEO Yael Eckstein speaks at the 2026 Turning Point USA Women’s Summit about how faith drives courage and conviction:
Suddenly after losing him (Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein, OBM) seven and a half years ago, I was asked to step in and lead it (The Fellowship). I was 34 years young, I was grieving, I was terrified. I remember thinking, ‘Ok, God, surely you have the wrong person.’ Maybe some of you have felt that way as well with things that were demanded of your life.
It feels like something that God is calling to you, that’s bigger than you ever thought that you were. But the truth is God has always called ordinary uncertain people. Moses wasn’t always a good speaker, Esther was afraid, Ruth was an outsider, Mary was young, David was overlooked. None of them felt truly ready, but God was never looking for perfection.
He was looking for willingness. He was looking for people to step and say, ‘Hineni, here I am.'”
