Yael’s Holy Land Reflections
On Tisha B’Av, through fasting, reading the Book of Lamentations, and crying out to God in prayer, Jews mourn the long history of tragedies experienced by our people. But no matter how difficult things may seem, being able to watch and partake in His promises coming to fruition brings me hope and strength.
Though at one time it was a radical idea, today, the relationship between Christians and Jews is not only possible, but a blessing to us all. Let us continue to work in the spirit of togetherness, united in service to our God.
In the U.S., I’m meeting with Christian leaders like Gordon Robertson, whose father Pat has been such a great friend of my father and The Fellowship from the beginning. Watch my recent interview with Gordon on the 700 Club.
During the Three Weeks, a time of sorrow and mourning for the Jewish people, we remember that we can never make peace with a broken world and that only God can bring true healing.
Let us exalt God for blessing us and carrying us through challenging times, and also pray that He continues to help us serve His people with loving hearts, humble spirits, strong bodies, and wise minds.
