On Facebook, Yael offers her words of concern and comfort amid the news of six hostages being brutally murdered by Hamas:

It’s a strange thing, to feel so connected to someone you’ve never met. To love them as family, yet to have never spoken a word to them.

God created our hearts to love, and what Hersh – and all of the hostages taught us – is that you can love somebody so deeply, just by knowing their story.

For 331 heartbreaking days, I have watched Hersh’s parents heroically fight for their child being held hostage by Hamas monsters in Gaza.

Not only did they never fall into the pit of despair, but they bravely gave all of US hope. They gave us the faith and strength to believe that one day, they would hug their beloved son again.

How many times have you envisioned that moment of the hostages coming home and hugging their family?

How many times have you cried out to God, it should happen, NOW.

How many times did you shed tears while praying for the hostages to return to Israel?

When we received the news this morning, that six of our kidnapped loved ones were returned to Israel…Dead…the whole country tore their clothes in morning. They were shot in the head by the evil Hamas terrorists just one day ago, when the Israeli army got close.

There are no words of comfort. There are no words that makes sense of this situation. Every single person in Israel, is in mourning.

We *really* believed that we would witness the moment of these beautiful faces being reunited with their family. That we would help them recover. And that we would celebrate their milestones like walking down the aisle and having babies. These people, have become OURS.

Hersh, Carmel, Eden, Almog, Alex, Ori… We are all sorry this didn’t end different. You should be home.

We will never forget you.
