Born in Morocco just before World War II, Aliah today lives in her biblical homeland in the holy city of Tiberias. But this 88-year-old Jewish woman lost her husband eight years ago. And since then, her daughter has been taking care of her in her old, worn-down home. And living in the north of Israel means she’s vulnerable to terrorist rockets.

“There were several alarms in Tiberias, and I was really stressed,” says Aliah. “It reminded me of the German planes I saw in Morocco when I was a child. There is no bomb shelter in our house, and I can’t make it to a public shelter on the street. When there were alarms, I sat on the couch and didn’t move; I just froze. Sometimes at night I wake up from nightmares because of the war. I pray that it will pass already.”

Thankfully, The Fellowship visits her, despite the rockets, with food and companionship, to make sure this precious child of God isn’t alone. “The Fellowship has helped me very much over the years. The monthly assistance I receive for buying food allows me to buy more fruits and vegetables and also some meat.

“We received assistance to purchase a small air conditioner for my room and now I can sleep properly. I don’t know how we would manage without The Fellowship’s help. I feel that you care about me and that you take care of me.”

Your gift today will provide basic needs and lifesaving help for God’s children, like Aliah, in Israel and around the world.
