September marks the start of the Jewish High Holy Days, and The Fellowship is making sure everyone in Israel gets a chance to observe them. For Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, food boxes we’re distributing include all the holiday essentials like apples, honey, and much more.
One of the recipients is Yulia, who lives in a retirement home in Beit Shemesh. “We have a beautiful community here. We spend time together, learn new things, and celebrate Jewish holidays – something I had never experienced before,” Yulia said.
Yulia finds comfort in her retirement thanks to her neighbors, as well as her children and grandchildren, who visit often. At the same time, food costs are rising each day. The Fellowship’s food box distribution is essential to her health and well-being.
