‘Nothing Short of a Miracle’

Married couple Gad and Odelia, together with their four young children, fulfilled a lifelong dream—making aliyah (immigrating to Israel) from France with The Fellowship.
“For years we dreamed of living in Israel—and now, despite the war, it is finally happening,” Gad shared.
The decision wasn’t easy—but it was necessary. “What once felt like isolated events have now become part of daily life for Jews in France. I used to walk outside proudly with my kippah. Today, I hide it under a baseball cap.”
Gad believes there’s no chance of a safe future for his children in France. “Beyond the fear, we want to live Jewish lives freely and openly. That, more than anything, is why we chose to leave.”
Now the family is starting over. Their apartment in Israel still lacks essentials like a refrigerator and stove, but they know The Fellowship will help them every step of the way. “Even if we have to face missiles and sirens, we will feel more at home in Israel than we ever did in France.”
Thanks to The Fellowship and friends like you, the family arrived safely—even when other flights were canceled because of the war. “That, to us, is nothing short of a miracle.”
