“Now, when the sirens sound, it’s like we’re back in 1944.”

That’s 87-year-old Zinaida, who lives in war-torn Ukraine with her sister Svetlana. Just as when they were children in Ukraine, escaping the invading Nazis, the two elderly sisters look after each other during these desperate times in Ukraine. But this time, they are much older and weaker, so it’s even more difficult to survive.

“The scariest thing is not if a rocket hits our building. It’s scarier if a rocket hits a power plant and our electricity is cut off,” explains Zinaida. “Without light, without heating, we can’t stand it during the winter.”

But despite all these fears, the two sisters aren’t totally alone. They have The Fellowship to bring them food and supplies to survive the harsh winter and terrible conditions. “I thank God for this help,” says Zinaida. “I feel so happy that there are organizations like The Fellowship who come to us and help us at such a difficult time. You are our hope for life during the war and after the war.”

Your gift today will provide basic needs and lifesaving help for God’s children, like Zinaida and Svetlana, in Ukraine, in Israel, and around the world.
