Over the Thanksgiving weekend, two major incidents of Yellow Line crossings have been reported by the IDF. The Jerusalem Post reports that suspected terrorists have attempted to cross the line outlined by the ceasefire in southern Gaza on Saturday and northern Gaza today. The IDF neutralized five terrorists in these two separate incidents.

In the first incident on Saturday, the IDF said two suspects were carrying out suspicious activities on the ground and were approaching troops before being shot dead.

In the second incident, a suspected terrorist was killed after he crossed the Yellow Line, also approaching soldiers.

The southern Yellow Line in Gaza, around Rafah in particular, has seen significant terror activity in recent weeks. The remaining terrorists that had evaded the IDF on November 21 were successfully eliminated after a five-hour manhunt. Local media also reported that a senior Hamas official’s son was killed in Rafah yesterday attempting to flee from a terror tunnel, though this hasn’t been confirmed by the IDF.

The Jerusalem Post also reported that Israel has submitted a proposal to the terror group to allow Hamas operatives still present in the tunnels behind the Yellow Line to surrender and be taken into custody. Israeli sources said that Hamas has no plans to agree to the conditions that would allow this, and would rather their own people perish in the tunnels they had used to hold those they took on October 7.

With the remains of two hostages from that fateful day still in Gaza and dedicated efforts to uphold the ceasefire in the face of terror, The Fellowship and our donors pray for and support the brave men and women of the IDF, as it’s their vigilance that keeps Israel and her people safe.
