U.S. President Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that he has given Hamas until Sunday at 6 p.m. to agree to his 20-point peace plan for Gaza, which would see the release of the remaining 48 Israeli hostages and disarmament of the terror group. The Jerusalem Post reports that Hamas may be unlikely to accept it by then.
Trump threatened that unless Hamas agrees, “all H*LL like no one has ever seen before, will break out,” against the terror group.
“Hamas has been a ruthless and violent threat for many years in the Middle East!” he added.
“They have killed (and made lives unbearably miserable), culminating with the October 7th MASSACRE, in Israel, babies, women, children, old people, and many young men and women, boys and girls, getting ready to celebrate their future lives together.”
The main reason, according to reports, why Hamas would likely reject the proposal is the fact that the release of all hostages would mean Hamas is letting go of their “bargaining chips” – which is all that these innocent Israeli lives amount to for Hamas. In the face of such unspeakable cruelty and disregard for human lives, we must continue to ceaselessly pray for the hostages’ swift return and that a ceasefire arrangement is reached so the violence stops.
