This morning, terror struck at Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction as two armed assailants opened fire on a bus and pedestrians waiting nearby during rush hour. The attack, hailing from West Bank villages, were killed on the scene by an off-duty soldier and armed civilians who quickly intervened:

Six people were murdered Monday and 12 were wounded, six of them seriously, when a pair of Palestinian terrorists opened fire on vehicles and pedestrians in Jerusalem’s Ramot Junction. The attackers used makeshift “Carlo” submachine guns—improvised weapons often manufactured in the West Bank

Footage from the scene shows shattered glass and chaos as people scrambled for safety. Witnesses described the harrowing moments and the arrival of paramedics who raced to the scene, treating victims and transporting them to hospitals across the city

Even amid an ongoing war, Israel and her people continue to face terror. This attack—and the loss of civilian lives—reminds us that the horrors of conflict can reach Israelis anywhere, at any moment. Please pray for swift recovery for the injured, for comfort for the loved ones of those lost, and for all those impacted by this horrific violence. May God’s healing and light – and His blessed gift of shalom, peace – come even in the face of such darkness.
