The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.

Restore our fortunes, LORD,
    like streams in the Negev.
Those who sow with tears
will reap with songs of joy.
Those who go out weeping,
    carrying seed to sow,
will return with songs of joy,
    carrying sheaves with them.
(Psalm 126:3-6)

This photo was taken in the Negev desert in 1947, a year before Israel won her independence. But these young women—residents of Kibbutz Urim—are certainly filled with joy already at how God has restored their fortunes, including providing a new well from which they are bringing water.

The Lord certainly does great things! Shabbat shalom, friends.
