‘National Emergency’: Huge Fires Rage in Israel
Stand for Israel | April 30, 2025
As Israel Memorial Day draws to a close in the Holy Land, and Israel Independence Day begins, wildfires are raging in Israel – fires of such severity that other countries are sending help to fight them.
Meanwhile some Arab media outlets are calling on Palestinians to set fires to make the disastrous situation even worse.
The Fellowship is there to help Israel through this catastrophe. Earlier today, Yael Eckstein, our president and global CEO, sent this on-the-ground report:
It’s Memorial Day, and they’re saying it’s terrorism. Fire terrorism.
Israel is experiencing extremely hot and dry temperatures, with very strong winds … which creates the perfect environment for out-of-control fires. From northern Israel to southern Israel – and in the mountains surrounding Jerusalem – uncontained fires are raging. The earth is burning up, quickly.
Cities are being evacuated. Drivers are leaving their cars on the highways to escape on foot. Over a dozen people have already been brought to the hospital.
And those heroes on the front lines? They’re driving ambulances donated by The Fellowship. They’re treating the injured with emergency kits donated by The Fellowship. They’re riding in first responder ambulances donated by The Fellowship.
What a privilege and a calling from God! Wherever and whenever there is a crisis in Israel, The Fellowship is there to help save lives.
Keep on praying, friends. The people of Israel desperately need it.
