Katz Warns Gazans: Remove Hamas, Release Hostages

After the collapse of the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the fighting has resumed, and Israeli troops are advancing into Gaza. But in an effort to end the war, Israel’s Defense Minister is calling for the removal of Hamas and a release of all hostages, reports The Jerusalem Post:

Israel Defense Minister Israel Katz addressed the residents of the Gaza Strip in a statement on Wednesday afternoon, warning that demanding the removal of Hamas and release of all hostages is the only way to stop the war.

“The IDF will soon operate forcefully in additional areas in Gaza and you will be required to evacuate and lose more and more territory. The plans are already ready and approved,” Katz warned…

This followed a rare event in the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, hundreds of Gazan citizens marched in the northern town of Beit Lahiya carrying white flags, calling to end the Hamas rule, and even calling to hand over the Israeli hostages.
