In the most significant escalation since the ceasefire began, Israel and Iran exchanged fire over the weekend. Iran launched strikes toward northern Israel, while Iranian-backed terror groups, including the Houthis, fired missiles at central Israel.

The Times of Israel reported that rockets were intercepted over major cities, including Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, as sirens sounded across the country. Fortunately, all 24 ballistic missiles launched by the Iranian regime were either intercepted or landed in open areas. Israel retaliated overnight by striking military targets in Iran.

Nobody was injured in the volleys themselves, though medics treated a man who fell on his way to seek shelter during the Houthi attack, the Magen David Adom ambulance service said.

Damage was caused to several homes in a West Bank settlement following the impact of an Iranian missile fragment in one of the volleys, rescue services said.

In response to the missile attacks, Israel hit petrochemical facilities in the southwest of Iran.

The military said the Israeli Air Force struck three sites at a petrochemical complex in the Mahshahr area in southwest Iran, aiming to destroy infrastructure used by Iran to produce raw materials for the manufacture of missiles.

As of now, both Israel and Iran have indicated that attacks are being halted following pressure from U.S. President Donald Trump. Israeli officials have stated that operations in southern Lebanon and efforts against Hezbollah will continue. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is scheduled to hold a security meeting this evening.

In a separate incident in central Israel, a terrorist who carried out a shooting attack near the West Bank killed one person and wounded five others before being neutralized by security forces. Magen David Adom reported that two of the injured were in serious condition, while three sustained moderate injuries.

The Fellowship and its supporters pray for the recovery of those injured in the weekend shooting, as well as for the continued safety of the thousands of Israelis living under the threat of the Iranian regime’s attacks. At the same time, we praise God for His protection, as no deaths were reported in this latest escalation.
