Iranian Rocket Hits Hospital; Dozens Hurt in Barrage

Iran again targets innocent Israeli civilians – including in a hospital:
Iran fired a barrage of some 30 ballistic missiles early Thursday, scoring a direct hit on Israel’s main southern hospital, the Soroka Medical Center, and two other impacts in the central cities of Holon and Ramat Gan that wounded dozens of people, including six in serious condition.
The Magen David Adom emergency service said that a man, 80, and two women, both in their 70s, were among six people seriously hurt. Two people were moderately injured, and at least 42 others suffered light injuries from shock waves and shrapnel at the various impact sites. In addition, 18 people were lightly injured as they scrambled to bomb shelters when sirens went off.
The Fellowship has provided significant support to Soroka Hospital in recent years. This includes funding for fortified operating rooms, trauma rooms, and emergency equipment, all of which have proven invaluable this week, enabling the dedicated staff to continue saving lives even under fire.
Even in this brutal attack we see God’s protective presence at work as well. The floor of the hospital that was hit today is a surgical unit that had been evacuated yesterday because of its vulnerability to rocket strikes. Praise God, this spared the lives of those in the hospital … a true miracle. “You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples” (Psalm 77:14).
