IDF to Civilians in Northern Gaza: Leave Now

Following its customary practice of taking all measures possible to avoid civilian casualties, the IDF has issued an “urgent” call in Arabic to citizens of northern Gaza:

“The Israel Defense Forces is operating with great force in your areas to destroy the capabilities of terrorist organizations. For your safety, evacuate immediately to the known shelters in Gaza City,” [Lt. Col. Avichay] Adraee wrote, adding, “Returning to these areas poses a danger to your lives, as they are combat zones.”

On Sunday, Israeli forces killed 15 terrorists in two separate incidents in the Strip—10 terrorists were eliminated via gunfire and IDF artillery, and another five terrorists by Israeli Air Force craft directed by troops on the ground.

While Israel attempts to warn civilians out of harm’s way, it is well-known that Hamas deliberately embeds its terrorist forces and armaments within population centers to use its own people as human shields. Please pray that Israel’s efforts to eliminate the terrorist threat in Gaza will be successful, and will ultimately result in true, lasting peace for all.
