The IDF announced that its 99th Division has completed a four-month mission in northern Gaza. JNS reports that troops eliminated more than 100 terrorists, including those who participated in the October 7, 2023, attacks and held hostages. Miles of terror tunnels were also discovered and sealed off, including one that crossed the Yellow Line. Troops also neutralized terrorist infrastructure, including an observation and command center.
Israeli soldiers dismantled a 1.5-kilometer (0.9-mile) underground tunnel that crossed the Yellow Line in the southern Gaza Strip, the Israel Defense Forces said on Thursday.
The tunnel contained rooms intended for Hamas terrorists, according to the military.
Engineering troops from the Gaza Division’s Southern Brigade, working with the Yahalom combat engineering unit, sealed and dismantled the tunnel as part of ongoing operations to remove terrorist infrastructure near the Yellow Line, which marks IDF military deployment positions under the U.S.-brokered ceasefire agreement.
The IDF confirmed that the 162nd Division will replace the 99th Division in northern Gaza. Meanwhile, Israel signed a deal with the U.S. to purchase 12 Apache helicopters for the Israeli Air Force (IAF), with deliveries expected to begin in 2030. IAF officials said the attack helicopters will help address defense gaps identified following the October 7 attacks.
As the IDF continues its defensive operations in Gaza, Iran has reportedly instructed its terrorist proxy, Hezbollah, in Lebanon to prepare for renewed conflict. Beirut-based news outlets report that the terrorist group is rearming and rebuilding its forces despite efforts to curb its activities. Defense Minister Israel Katz warned that if Hezbollah launches attacks against Israel, the IDF will seize additional territory in southern Lebanon.
Over the past two weeks, three Hezbollah reconnaissance drones were spotted in the security zone gathering intelligence on IDF operations. The IAF successfully shot down one of them. In two separate incidents, the IDF detected suspicious aerial targets over northern Israel. One was identified as an Israeli aircraft, while the other remained unidentified.
The Fellowship and our supporters continue to pray for the men and women of the IDF serving in Gaza and northern Israel as they defend the Holy Land against the threats posed by Hamas and Hezbollah, respectively.
