The Jerusalem Post reports that the IDF has conducted strikes on Hezbollah and Hamas targets over the past three days. Evacuation warnings were issued to areas of southern Lebanon where terror infrastructure was identified. On Sunday, Hezbollah targets included two weapons storage sites—one of which was located underground. Meanwhile, in southern Gaza, the IDF eliminated a Hamas terrorist who was attempting to cross the yellow line.
Later on Sunday, the military confirmed that they struck a second site used by Hezbollah terrorists to store weapons. This second site was underground, the military clarified.
The site had been previously struck approximately a week ago, the military added, noting that they had informed the Lebanese Armed Forces about the presence of terrorists operating in the area.
The LAF inspected the site, following communication with the IDF, but the “terror infrastructure was not fully dismantled,” the IDF alleged.
The IDF, therefore, decided to strike the site again on Sunday.
IDF strikes against Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in southern Lebanon have persisted over the past week. Many Israelis entered the new year with renewed hopes and prayers for shalom, peace. These hopes and prayers have been tested—not just in recent days, but over the past weeks. The Fellowship and our supporters are grateful for the IDF’s commitment to the ceasefire while some seek to undermine it.
