Earlier this week, the IDF continued conducting counterterrorism operations in Gaza. The Israeli military reported that strikes on Sunday and Monday eliminated three Hamas commanders, including two who participated in the October 7, 2023, attacks. JNS reports that the IDF confirmed these operations today as the terror group continues its efforts to rebuild its capabilities in Gaza, in violation of the ceasefire.
Anas Akram Muhammad Humaida, a commander in Hamas’s elite Nukhba force who infiltrated the Sufa military outpost on Oct. 7, was killed Sunday near Khan Yunis, according to the IDF.
Ashraf Mahmoud Yusuf Dahlan, a company commander in Hamas’s East Jabalia Battalion who also infiltrated Israel during the massacre, was killed the same day in Gaza City.
Mahmoud Othman Abdullah Alwan, a Nukhba commander in the West Jabalia Battalion, was killed Monday in Gaza City.
In a separate statement on Wednesday, the IDF said it killed three Hamas Nukhba Force terrorists in airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Oct. 22 and 23, including one who participated in the abduction of Israeli civilians during the Oct. 7, 2023, massacre.
Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, killed in southern Gaza on Thursday, took part in the abduction of several Israelis, including Alexander Dancyg from Kibbutz Nir Oz, and later helped hold hostages, including Nimrod Cohen, according to the IDF.
Last night, the IDF launched an interceptor toward what was described as a suspicious aerial target originating from southern Lebanon, where Israeli soldiers were operating. The incident was relatively minor, with no air-raid sirens activated in Israel and no injuries reported among IDF troops.
Meanwhile, ballots from this week’s Israeli election are still being counted. Current results indicate that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s Likud party remains the largest party in the Knesset, Israel’s parliament. However, his political bloc remains eight seats short of the majority needed to form a government. With the final results still pending, the outcome remains too close to call.
The Fellowship and our supporters pray for the brave men and women of the IDF serving on multiple fronts as they defend Israel against the threats facing the Holy Land. At this pivotal time for Israel, may God protect them, grant them strength, and lead them to safety and victory.
