The IDF has launched a new wave of strikes against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon. The strikes come in response to what Israeli authorities are calling a blatant violation of the ceasefire by the Iran-backed terror group. According to The Times of Israel, the IDF issued an evacuation warning before carrying out strikes within a buffer zone that was awaiting IDF withdrawal.

Lebanese civilians had entered Mansouri under the protection of the Lebanese army, which also set up a roadblock in the area in violation of the agreements, according to the IDF.

The military says the village was evacuated for the residents’ safety, as military operations are still taking place there.

This is not the IDF’s only recent operation against Hezbollah as Israel and Lebanon continue negotiations. Yesterday, The Jerusalem Post reported that the IDF destroyed part of Hezbollah’s underground tunnel network earlier this week.

The IDF assessed that the Lebanese government was aware of and is incapable of dismantling the tunnel network, which it says was built by Iran and Hezbollah. According to the military, the tunnels are used for surveillance and to support attacks against northern Israeli communities and IDF positions. The IDF also reported that additional tunnels remain intact in southern Lebanon.

Lebanon and Israel are currently engaged in another round of talks in Rome. A senior Lebanese official said the two sides remain divided over how to disarm Hezbollah, despite Beirut’s agreement to assume control of IDF pilot zones and address the terror group’s presence itself. Israel, however, remains highly skeptical of Lebanon’s ability to do so.

With the IDF now conducting operations in both Lebanon and Gaza at levels not seen since June, The Fellowship and our supporters continue to pray for the brave men and women of the IDF who are confronting terror on the front lines.
