The situation in the northern Israeli city of Kiryat Shmona is dire. Located just miles from the Lebanese border, the city is under constant threat from Hezbollah rocket fire, with less than a minute of warning before impact. Many residents are no longer leaving shelters, as it is simply too dangerous. Today, The Jerusalem Post reported that rocket shrapnel injured two people in Kiryat Shmona, including an incident in which a bus was struck during one of two major attacks.

According to Magen David Adom, a man in his 50s sustained a head injury from shrapnel while he was near the bus and is in moderate-serious condition.

A piece of rocket shrapnel also impacted the street in Kiryat Shmona, according to Fire and Rescue Services.

No serious injuries were reported aside from the man in his 50s, who was treated by Magen David Adom and evacuated to Rambam Hospital by Hatzalah helicopter.

Another man, in his 80s, was also wounded by shrapnel and taken to Ziv Hospital in mild condition by Magen David Adom.

Meanwhile, Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam voiced support for disarming the terrorist group Hezbollah, stating that the group has dragged Lebanon into a wider regional war on behalf of its backers in Iran. He also noted that more than one million people in Lebanon have been displaced due to ongoing conflict.

Yesterday, at least 15 people were injured across Tel Aviv and central Israel in a series of at least seven attacks involving Iranian ballistic missiles. These attacks included the use of cluster munitions, along with follow-up strikes by Hezbollah. An Israeli man was killed in Misgav Am when his vehicle sustained a direct hit.

The Fellowship has been on the ground in Israel, supporting urgent needs during this time of escalation. We pray for the families of those who have been lost, for the recovery of the wounded, and for continued protection over those in harm’s way.
