Woman Dies of Hypothermia in the Holy Land
The Fellowship | February 6, 2025
Winter storms are hitting Israel with high winds and rain. As the temperatures drop, the elderly and vulnerable are at risk. We are sad to report that one woman passed away from hypothermia in Eilat, Israel, reports The Times of Israel:
In the southern resort city of Eilat, a woman died of hypothermia at home. The Magen David Adom emergency service said medics tried to resuscitate her but were forced to declare her dead at the scene.
Another incident of hypothermia occurred in the central region city of Bnei Brak, where a 95-year-old man was discovered in serious condition in an apartment and was rushed to a hospital.
This is why The Fellowship’s winter assistance of delivering warm blankets, clothing, and vouchers for help with heating people’s homes is so important. This winter, The Fellowship is reaching more than 80,000 people with this aid in Israel.
