Churches, universities, synagogues, schools, and other institutions around the world are encouraged to enroll in The Fellowship’s third annual Flags of Fellowship campaign. More than an awareness campaign against anti-Semitism, this global memorial honors the victims, hostages, heroes, and families affected by the October 7, 2023, terror attacks. In the face of rising and unprecedented anti-Semitism, Christian and Jewish communities come together to remember those who were lost and demonstrate that support for Israel remains strong. Now in its third year, the campaign continues to grow, with The Fellowship on track to reach at least 2,500 participating organizations.
Our President and Global CEO Yael Eckstein says, “What began as a memorial initiative has become a global movement of light, unity, and resilience. Flags of Fellowship has become a powerful symbol of hope and strength, giving people a meaningful way to stand with Israel and speak out against the extreme rise of anti-Semitism we’ve seen since October.”
Participating institutions receive approximately 1,200 miniature Israeli flags to display on their grounds in memory of the 1,200 victims of the horrific terror attacks. Last year, more than 1,350 organizations participated, resulting in over 1.5 million flags being planted. This year, if The Fellowship reaches its goal of at least 2,500 participants, that number could more than double to over three million flags. The campaign extends far beyond the United States and Canada, with churches, synagogues, schools, and other organizations participating in countries including Australia, South Africa, the United Kingdom, India, and throughout Latin America.
Churches, synagogues, universities, and organizations can now, and are encouraged to, enroll in this year’s Flags of Fellowship at www.ifcj.org/fof. Enrollment will be open until September 13.
