This week, The Fellowship received letters of thanks from people we have helped. With the support of our generous donors, we are able to make a difference for olim, families, and even entire Jewish communities in need.
Our first letter comes from Viktoriia, a 50-year-old who made aliyah from Ukraine with The Fellowship’s help in April. She comes from a city on the frontlines of the ongoing war. This wasn’t her only challenge, as Viktoriia is also dealing with cancer. Stretched financially, her apartment in Ukraine was unfurnished and had no power. Fortunately, The Fellowship was able to fly her to Israel and help her settle in.
Viktoriia writes, “From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank The Fellowship and everyone who supports its activities for the precious gift I received. Thanks to your support and the purchase of household electrical appliances – a refrigerator and a washing machine – my new home immediately became a pleasant, tidy and ready-to-live-in place. I didn’t expect to receive this assistance, so the assistance and the treatment I received touched me even more. It’s a very moving thing to feel that you’re not alone. Thank you to The Fellowship for your care, your generosity, and for helping new olim get back on their feet and feel at home in Israel.”
The Fellowship also received a letter from a family who made aliyah from Iran. They have been supported by The Fellowship after their home in Israel was damaged during the recent war, and our assistance helped them replace items and furniture that were lost.
They write, “Our family made aliyah to Israel a few years ago, and in times like these we feel how much mutual support and concern for others are a significant part of Israeli society and your organization. The Fellowship’s generous assistance has greatly strengthened us and allowed us to begin to return to a normal routine. We thank The Fellowship from the bottom of our hearts for the giving, caring, and assistance you have provided us with. Your actions are a source of hope and strength for many families, including our own.”
Lastly, The Fellowship received a letter from the El’ad Municipality for the assistance given to families over the years for Jewish holidays. They write, “These donations help our clients get through challenging times, especially during the Passover holiday, which requires particularly high financial expenses. Our blessings and best wishes, may you always be blessed to be among the givers and helpers, with health, abundance, and joy.”
“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” (Psalm 100:4).
