Summer Heat In The Holy Land

The Fellowship  |  July 2, 2019

We provide emergency relief for Israel’s most vulnerable, especially during extreme weather conditions to ensure elderly can survive.

Did you know the summer months are JUST as dire for elderly in Israel as the winter months are for the elderly in the former Soviet Union (FSU)?

We’ve often showed you the impact of our Operation Winter Warmth ministry, especially in Ukraine and the far reaches of the FSU, where we hand-deliver heating fuel, blankets, and warm clothing to those who are barely surviving the harsh winter months.

But what often goes unnoticed is the life and death situation in Jerusalem and all across Israel, where dangerous temperatures soar during the summer heatwaves.

That’s why The Fellowship is committed to doing God’s work, providing emergency relief for Israel and her people such as hydration and increased medical care during sweltering months, to ensure the widows and elderly Jews we serve together can survive another summer.

Together, we are helping fulfill God’s promise to His chosen people, “They will neither hunger not thirst, nor will the desert heat or the sun beat down on them. He who has compassion on them will guide them and lead them besides springs of water” (Isaiah 49:10).
