This year for Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, we partnered with volunteers to distribute holiday honey jars to elderly living alone in Israel. We distributed 4,800 jars of honey in Be’er Sheva, Haifa, Jerusalem, and Tel Aviv. Then, we distributed another 1,700 jars to elderly living in senior residences throughout the country. It is customary for the Jewish people to dip an apple into honey during Rosh Hashanah, and so the jars of honey help these elderly in need have a sweet new year!

We also are partnering again with Yad B’Yad to give 5,000 food boxes to the needy elderly and families in the city of Lod and the surrounding area. Thank you for helping these people in need celebrate this special time of year with dignity!
