In the aftermath of rocket and drone attacks, first responders are often needed elsewhere once all the rescues have been made and the areas are secured.

Recovery is a long process. Beit Shemesh is still reeling from deadly strikes when the war first began. The Fellowship knows that the mission doesn’t end when the strikes end. So, with the help from our partners at Lev Echad, Fellowship staff cleaned out homes damaged by the strikes.

Lev Echad is a volunteer-driven organization with the mission of building national resilience by calling on young Israelis to support their communities. During times of crisis and emergency preparedness, they still answer the call. Fellowship staff, including our President and CEO Yael Eckstein, were in Beith Shemesh providing relief for residents affected by the Iranian attacks when Lev Echad volunteers arrived to help cleaning out homes for displaced families.

The Fellowship will also be giving a special grant to Lev Echad that will fund digital vouchers for their hardworking volunteers as a thank you.

“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest” (Isaiah 32:18).
