Last weekend, the second annual Flags of Fellowship brought together 1,346 organizations and institutions to plant an Israeli flag for each of the 1,200 lives lost during the horrific October 7 massacre. This included synagogues, churches, schools, and even independent businesses, with over 1.5 million flags planted in total. One of these churches was Echoing Springs Christian Church in Salisbury, North Carolina.

“It’s an honor. I hope that [the people of Israel] see [Flags of Fellowship] as a supporting event in terms of our desire to show them that we support them, we are behind them, our prayers and hearts are with them, and that they are supported by people on the other side of the world,” said Echoing Springs’ Matthew Millspaugh.

The Fellowship’s own Dr. Paul Paino joined Echoing springs for worship. “Father, these people have come together to bless Israel in this very specific way,” he said in the service. “And according to your word, we pray to God that you would bless them according to your will and purpose for each one of their lives and let them recognize that it is they who bless you and you indeed are blessing them.”
