Provide Hope for the Winter

An elderly Jewish woman named Luba prepares for the winter cold thanks to IFCJ donors

As the brutal Ukrainian winter begins, the elderly are at dire risk. Temperatures are steadily dropping, and elderly Jews like Luba are struggling to stay warm without heat and firewood. You can rush a Winter Survival Pack today to help someone in desperate need survive the winter!

Her name means love in Ukrainian, but right now Luba is frightened, alone, and in dire need of a friend. And as temperatures are already plummeting below freezing in many areas of the former Soviet Union, Luba’s very survival is threatened.

When we visited this sweet elderly Holocaust survivor, we were shocked by the conditions she was living in.

Luba was so isolated that she hadn’t seen a visitor in over a year! She was weak, hungry, exhausted, and had no electricity or running water.

“I am waiting for death to come and end my suffering,” she told us. Our hearts are filled with sadness by the absence of hope in her life. But in this despair, we are reminded by our mighty God that Fellowship friends like you are Luba’s hope, providing someone you have never even met with the basic essentials needed for survival.

Right now, you can help us rush Winter Survival Packs to elderly Jewish people just like Luba whose lives, quite honestly, are hanging in the balance.

With temperatures dropping, these precious souls are in immediate need of these Fellowship Winter Survival Packs filled with lifesaving essentials to help them weather the freezing months. Essentials such as:

  • Heat
  • Firewood
  • Warm clothing
  • Nutritious food
  • Shelter

Your gift will be a tangible expression of God’s love for His people and show these lonely Holocaust survivors that they are NOT alone because you care deeply for them. And we are honored to hand-deliver these Winter Survival Packs on YOUR behalf.

We are so thankful that we can count on Fellowship friends like you to help provide the desperate needs of the Jewish elderly in the midst of this unbearable winter.
