Yael’s Holy Land Reflections
Recently, key Fellowship figures from around the world met in Israel to experience the needs of the Holy Land’s most vulnerable people and to spiritually and strategically commit to our response to help them.
As Jews around the world celebrate the holiday of Purim this week — a holiday commemorating the events in the Book of Esther — Yael writes that the message of Purim is that everything is planned and designed by God as part of His plan.
For Yael, the first thirty days of mourning after her father's passing have been just as difficult — perhaps more difficult — than the first seven. She discusses these stages of grief, while also assuring us that The Fellowship's holy work will continue.
Yael remembers how her father helped out whenever he could — whether helping thousands of people or just one — and promises to continue his work of service to all of God's children.
Taking her place at her father's desk, Yael says she can't fill his shoes, but she can keep his vision and mission going forward.
