Viktoria made aliyah (immigrated to Israel) with The Fellowship all the way back in 2014. As her city turned into a war zone, she realized it was time to make aliyah and has never looked back.

Viktoria says, “We made aliyah to Israel thanks to The Fellowship. In 2014, a war broke out in the Donbas region of Ukraine. We were a young family with three small children, and we felt it was too dangerous to raise them in Ukraine.

Her connection to The Fellowship has been going on for a decade. “Ten years have passed since then, but I will never forget the festive welcome that awaited us upon landing in Israel. Thanks to The Fellowship, my children are growing up in Israel.”

Viktoria is a good mother and proud of her three children: Elvira (14), Miron (12), and Sabrina (10). Still, life has its challenges. Her oldest, Elvira, lives with a visual impairment and has had several surgeries. With medical costs and two other children to care for, money has always been tight. Thankfully, for this family, The Fellowship has been there for them along the way.

“In 2016, The Fellowship helped us buy beds for the children. During [COVID-19] we received vouchers from The Fellowship to buy children’s clothing. In the last two years, as part of the Joint Initiative with the Ministry of Welfare, we received a washing machine and a refrigerator.”

She explains that when her refrigerator stopped working, she cried tears of worry because she knew she couldn’t afford a new one. But when she received word that The Fellowship would help her get a replacement, she says, “I just started crying from happiness.”

Viktoria lives with her three children in Ashdod, which is in southern Israel. So, her family is affected by the war on Israel. There were constant sirens at the start of the war, and it was scary. Thankfully, no one in her family’s been hurt, but the continued support from The Fellowship makes them feel secure, especially as Passover approaches.

“I always try to stay optimistic and hope for better days. Your visit today makes us very happy. Thank you for the Passover gift you brought for us and for the care.”

Especially as Passover approaches, you help families like Viktoria’s survive. And you can help them live out their faith with dignity, not only in Israel, but around the world.
