80-year-old Lydia has lived a hard life. A widow for many years since making aliyah (immigrating to Israel), she has provided round-the-clock care for her disabled child for more than 50 years. That includes trying to evacuate her daughter whenever rocket sirens sound in their hometown of Sderot, near the Gaza border.

“I never asked for help,” Lydia proudly tells her Fellowship volunteer during a recent visit for the High Holy Days.

But help from faithful Fellowship friends is exactly what this sweet child of God need—and deserves.

Yes, gifts from friends like you are what make this season miraculous for Lydia, who tells us, I remember celebrating Rosh Hashanah with my parents when I was just a little child. The Fellowship is going to make this holiday special for me.”

Your best gift today will mean the High Holy Days season will be both special and miraculous for a Jewish person in need—a child of God like Lydia.
