This Sunday is International Holocaust Remembrance Day, a day on which we will remember the 6 million Jews who were murdered by the Nazis, 6 million lives we will never forget. This sculpture at Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust memorial, reminds us of those lives. Named for Deuteronomy 20:19, what appears to be a tree is actually made up of 600 people, and represents the refuge that those who survived the Holocaust miraculously found. Shabbat shalom, friends.
You can give hope to Holocaust survivors.
